Vanta
An eyewear brand built on one question: why do people choose the thing in the middle of their face like an afterthought?
The Question
Most eyewear brands compete on one of three things: price, trends, or logos. VANTA needed a fourth reason to exist.
The Insight
People spend weeks choosing a jacket, a sofa, a watch. Then they buy glasses because “they fit my face.”
You carefully curate how you present yourself and overlook the object sitting directly in the middle of your face.
The Brand
VANTA is for design-conscious people who care about taste and reject obvious status signaling. Its enemy is sameness. Its position: eyewear as a personal design object.
That means a handful of hero frames instead of an endless catalog. Each frame has to be distinctive enough to remember and wearable enough for every day. Character without wearability becomes costume. Wearability without character becomes generic.
The Website
The site does what the frames do: it takes up space. An oversized wordmark opens the page. Portraits sit on bold color fields, because the face is the product page. The process unfolds in four steps (shape, proportion, material, finish) and tells the craft story without luxury vocabulary.
The copy runs on contrast. Most glasses are designed to disappear. These aren’t.
The Filter
Does this make the wearer more recognizable without making them feel disguised?
If yes, it’s VANTA. If no, it doesn’t get made.
See differently.
